Bidenβs Final Act: A Lame Duck on the Edge of World War Three
History may look back on this as the moment we completely lost our sanityβif, that is, there’s still anyone left to remember.
Picture the scene: An American presidentβdeemed too cognitively impaired to face charges for mishandling classified documents, let alone run for re-electionβhas just authorized strikes that could trigger World War Three. If this sounds like fiction, welcome to 2024’s darkest plot twist.
To understand this act of apparent madness, we must first reckon with its architect. In February 2024, Special Counsel Robert Hur’s investigation revealed a president in steep decline. This wasn’t just about classified Afghan war documents carelessly stored in a garage. It was about a man who couldn’t recall when his beloved son Beau diedβa cornerstone event that had shaped his public persona. The prosecutors’ conclusion was devastating: Biden was “an elderly man with a poor memory,” essentially too impaired to prosecute.
The spectacle that followed was both tragic and terrifying. After a series of increasingly painful public appearances and a convenient COVID-19 disappearance, Biden finally conceded he wouldn’t seek a second term. His vice president, Kamala Harris, went on to lose to Donald Trump, who promised to end what he called the “senseless war in Ukraine” within 24 hoursβa pledge that sent Washington’s war hawks into apoplectic fits.
Yet here we are, watching a lame-duck president light matches in a powder keg. Biden has authorised Ukraine to use American-supplied ATACMS missiles for strikes inside Russian territory. The decision came, we’re told, in response to Russia’s deployment of North Korean troops in the Kursk region. But this explanation feels like justifying arson because someone left their door unlocked.
President Zelensky’s cryptic responseβ”The missiles will speak for themselves”βwas quickly drowned out by Moscow’s thunder. Vladimir Dzhabarov, first deputy head of Russia’s international affairs committee, called it “a very big step towards the start of World War Three.” Andrei Klishas, a senior Federation Council member, warned this escalation “could end with Ukrainian statehood in complete ruins by morning.”
Here’s the terrifying reality the mainstream media won’t tell you: Russia isn’t even technically at war yet. Their “special military operation,” brutal as it has been, represents a fraction of their military capability. Putin himself warned in September that Western-enabled strikes on Russian territory would fundamentally alter both the nature and scope of the conflict. This isn’t mere sabre-rattlingβit’s a promise written in neon.

The timing couldn’t be more catastrophic. President-elect Trump has already outlined a peace plan that looks remarkably similar to Moscow’s vision, including maintaining current demarcation lines. His future vice president JD Vance, notes that Russia “should not have invaded” but rejects the simplistic “good versus evil” narrative, acknowledging Ukraine’s “corruption problems.” It’s a nuanced approach that might actually lead to peace.
Instead, we have Biden, our modern Nero, fiddling with missiles while the prospect of peace burns. The lunatics haven’t just taken over the asylumβthey’re playing Russian roulette with nuclear-tipped bullets.
If Russia shifts from its “special military operation” to a declared war footing, we’re not talking about more of the same. We’re talking about full mobilisation, the unleashing of Russia’s complete military arsenal, and the potential for a conflict that could engulf Europe and beyond. The West’s strategic calculus seems to operate in a fantasy world where Russia will simply absorb these provocations indefinitely. Historyβand Putinβsuggest otherwise.
And this time, the price of miscalculation won’t be measured in diplomatic cables or UN resolutions. It will be tallied in flattened cities, in millions of civilian corpses, in the radioactive dust of what was once called civilisation.
The bitter irony? This catastrophic endgame stems from a president whose family’s murky Ukrainian connectionsβfrom Hunter Biden’s lucrative Burisma board seat to that infamous briefcase full of influenceβnever justified sacrificing thousands of working-class sons and daughters on the altar of Eastern European politics. The same president who was deemed too cognitively impaired to face voters is now dealing cards at the apocalypse casino.
It’s a final, fatal game of nuclear chicken.
They’ve given an unstable warmonger one last dance with Armageddon.
