Ghislaine Maxwell sentenced to 20 years in prison but what about the rest of them?

Ghislaine Maxwell has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for carrying out a years-long scheme with her longtime confidante Jeffrey Epstein to sexually abuse underage girls.

Maxwell, 60, was convicted in December on five of six counts against her, including sex trafficking of a minor, transporting a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity and three related counts of conspiracy. She was acquitted on one charge of enticing a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts.

Prosecutors had asked the judge to sentence Maxwell to 30 to 55 years in prison, while the probation department recommended 20 years. Maxwell’s attorneys requested a more lenient sentence of between 4.25 and 5.25 years in prison.

Prior to the sentence, a number of victim impact statements were read to the court. The judge granted requests from eight women to give victim impact statements either in writing or in person at the sentencing.

Maxwell also addressed victims at the sentencing and apologised.

The sentencing represents a pivotal moment in an international sex trafficking case that stretched over decades and exemplified the ways that the rich and powerful can avoid consequences for their actions.

Maxwell and her lawyers will appeal her conviction now sentencing has been carried out—but the narrow scope of legal proceedings has meant that the broader story of Epstein’s wealth and crimes still contains considerable mystery.

The federal prosecutors noted that the trial record made clear that there were many other victims, apart from those who testified in November and December, who were harmed by Maxwell and Epstein’s sexual abuse scheme. They pieced together what they could of Maxwell’s involvement in it all, emphasizing that, in addition to procuring Epstein’s victims, she sometimes participated in the abuse herself.

Prosecutors noted several times the extent of Maxwell’s wealth and the financial and social benefits she received through her connection to Epstein. “Beyond the lavish lifestyle that she enjoyed side-by-side with Epstein,” they wrote, “Maxwell also received a townhouse that Epstein bought for her in New York City, and Epstein transferred a total of approximately $23 million to Maxwell during the timeframe of the conspiracy.” 

There are also many questions left unanswered about the friends, guests and associates of Epstines and Maxwell’s.

To date, Maxwell is the only one of Epstein’s associates who has faced criminal charges in the United States. On July 2, she was arrested by the Southern District of New York on six charges related to conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse minors and sex trafficking. 

The conspiracies grow as evidence is presented or slipped out, however, it is very doubtful we will ever know the full tale or to what extent the rich and elite participated in this global paedophile ring.

What we do know is there were many recordings and tapes along with portfolios of young girls, headshots and labels like a catalogue for these that viewed them to pick from.

We do know that Epstine can’t talk anymore, and the inconsistency surrounding his death are also suspect. We also know apart from Maxwell the only other person convicted who had connections was Jean-Luc Brunel also known as Jeffrey Epstein’s pimp, who also died in prison of an apparent ‘suicide.’

According to Assistant District Attorney Lara Pomerantz, Maxwell “preyed on vulnerable young girls, manipulated them, and served them up to be sexually abused.” Maxwell is alleged to have been the “right-hand” partner for Epstein, helping to groom vulnerable teenage girls as young as 14 for abuse at his residences, including his island, Little S. James, which some named “Pedophile Island”. Epstein is believed to have committed suicide in his jail cell in July of 2019.

Over the course of several years, Maxwell and Epstein had been linked with Maxwell has been associated with several prominent people, including Prince Andrew, Lord Mandelson, Donald Trump Bill Clinton, actor Kevin Spacey who is facing four counts of sexual assault against three men, Michael Bloomberg, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, and many others.

Lawyers have claimed that Epstein and Maxwell acted as the leaders of an “organized crime family,” according to multiple court filings reviewed by the Miami Herald, and that Maxwell helped traffic girls and women to powerful figures. Per the documents, Maxwell lured the alleged victims into the sex ring by offering them modeling, fashion, and educational opportunities. Furthermore, in 2009 depositions, two former house managers testified that Maxwell kept photos of young women in sexual acts.

In a 2009 lawsuit against Epstein, Giuffre claimed that Maxwell had recruited her into Epstein’s sex ring to be a “sex slave” when she was just 16. She went on to file a defamation suit against Maxwell in 2009, in response to Maxwell calling her claims “entirely false” on numerous occasions, but the two settled it out of court, meaning that a significant portion of the filings were sealed. In 2019, a federal appeals court unsealed some 2,000 pages of those documents. As expected, they were explosive.

One part made public includes photographs showing Giuffre standing next to Prince Andrew, Maxwell, and Epstein, all of whom she claims to have had sexual relations with. (According to a testimony from Tony Figueroa, Epstein’s former bodyguard, Giuffre told him that she had threesomes with Maxwell and Epstein, which involved using “strap-ons and dildos and everything.” Maxwell has denied her role in the alleged sex ring, as has Prince Andrew. ) The documents also claim that Maxwell gave Giuffre plane tickets to Thailand, where she was instructed to meet a young girl and “bring her back to the U.S. for Epstein and [her]” — a claim in part corroborated by records of Giuffre’s hotel stay, which she produced. The documents also shed a damning light on Epstein and Maxwell’s alleged abuse of other young women and underage girls.

Within the British political class, Lord Mandelson was not only a friend of Epstein’s but belonged to the same elite organisation along with Sir Keir Starmer, the Trilateral Commission. Epstein also belonged to another organisation that also has the same Raison d’être, a controlled new world order under the guise of globalization, ‘The council of foreign relations’. For them trade is everything.

This also gets conspiracists talking, just like the Trilateral Commission the CFR is a very small group consisting of elite members who have extraordinary powers with no public accountability, both organisations with a membership that can boast of former prime ministers and presidents, both with a disproportionate number of people accused of or caught up in child abuse and paedophilia claims.

What happened to the Blackbook

During the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s accomplice it was stated the FBI discovered ‘numerous black binders’ containing CDs which were clearly labelled with ‘thumbnail photos’ attached inside a closet at the 7-storey Manhattan residence during a search on July 6, 2019.

The raid took place on the same day that Epstein, 66, was taken into custody after landing in the United States from France. He hanged himself a month later.

It had long been speculated that Epstein kept information on what could loosely be termed his clients, or as we would say other paedophiles, many of whom it was claimed were top public figures and politicians, the information was reportedly kept in a little black book, however, for those that have dug into this case it is widely believed that those who participated in the debauchery Jeffrey Epstein offered were recorded on video and their acts recorded. Some say his life depended on those tapes being kept hidden.

Special Agent Kelly Maguire recalled how CDs and other items were recovered by the FBI from a locked safe during an initial search of the Manhattan home on July 6 and July 7, 2019, after Epstein’s arrest on sex assault charges.

The FBI agent said officers broke open the safe with a saw, finding the CDs, jewellery, computer hard drives, “loose diamonds”, passports and “large amounts of US currency.”

They photographed the items but did not have the warrant to remove them and when they returned four days later, on July 11, they were no longer there. 

Agent Maguire, a member of an FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, said she then called Richard Kahn, Epstein’s lawyer who now serves as the executor of the later financier’s estate, to ask what happened to the items.

“Twenty to thirty minutes after the conversation, Richard Kahn came to the residence and brought what was claimed to be the items back in two suitcases,” Agent Maguire said.

Bazaarly Agent Maguire could not confirm the content on the returned CDs was the same as the ones that were taken, but confirmed all the items were accounted for.

Boxes of CDs and hard drives were discovered in several rooms in Epstein’s eight-storey Upper East Side apartment in Manhattan, including in a so-called massage room. Some, Agent McGuire testified, had “evidence tape” sealing them. She told the court the tape had not been put there by police.

On the fifth floor, FBI agents also found a shelf full of large black binders. The binders held CDs, carefully categorised in plastic slipcovers and thumbnails with photos on them. 

There are far too many unanswered questions, and way too much covered up that is in the public interest.
