From Proxy Conflict to Global Crisis: Biden’s Dangerous Gambit Could Kill Us All
It’s the open secret nobody in mainstream politics or media dares voice – Joe Biden’s faculties are rapidly deteriorating in what increasingly appears to be outright dementia. From rambling incoherence to unsettling memory lapses, the accumulating gaffes have become impossible to ignore for any objective observer.
Yet such is the deferential court culture surrounding the American presidency that even when the supposed leader of the free world seems adrift in perpetual confusion, all continue pivoting and performing their choreographed roles as if nothing is amiss.
And so despite Caliugula-esque outbursts like granting Ukraine a writ to bomb Russia itself, the D.C. charade lumbers on – hurtling us towards potential apocalypse even as the emperor’s marbles rattle loose. At this point, to willfully ignore Biden’s cognitive impairment is to openly accept the horrific risks it poses. We can hardly claim surprise at whatever devastation he inadvertently unleashes through his dementia-addled decision-making.
For those who seem to think Biden’s cognitive issues are less than described. a recent report into his fitness to be tried found he was not…
The longstanding concerns about President Joe Biden’s age and memory intensified on Thursday after the release of a special counsel’s report investigating his possession of classified documents.
The report described the 81-year-old Democrat’s memory as “hazy,” “fuzzy,” “faulty,” “poor” and having “significant limitations.” It noted that Biden could not recall defining milestones in his own life such as when his son Beau died or when he served as vice president.
“My memory is fine,” Biden responded Thursday night from the White House, where he grew visibly angry as he denied forgetting when his son died. Beau Biden died of brain cancer in 2015 at the age of 46.
While Biden will not face charges for mishandling classified documents, the report’s assertions about his memory could undermine Biden’s message to voters that he can manage the government and safeguard the country.
The 345-page report was released publicly on Thursday after the White House said it would not request any redactions.
Investigators conducted 173 interviews with 147 witnesses, including President Biden himself.
The special counsel’s report said that it would be difficult to convict the president of improper handling of files because “at trial, Mr Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory”.
“It would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him – by then a former president well into his 80s of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness.”
Mr Hur’s report also said Mr Biden’s memory seemed to have “significant limitations” during interviews. He could not recall when he was vice-president (from 2009-2017), or “even within several years, when his son Beau died” (2015), the investigation said.
It added: “And his memory appeared hazy when describing the Afghanistan debate that was once so important to him.”
Mr Biden, 81, welcomed the decision not to charge him in remarks at a Democratic retreat in Leesburg, Virginia, saying: “This matter is now closed.”
Of course, for those retaining some grasp on historical continuity amidst this maelstrom of perpetual amnesia, a few salient queries demand posing…
One, why the hell are we letting this man take us to the brink of war?
In the latest unnerving development that should have any lucid observer questioning American leadership’s grip on reality, the dementia-ridden Joe Biden has now explicitly greenlit Ukraine using U.S. weapons to strike Russian territory. This brazen escalation not just of the proxy conflict, but of Washington’s war against Moscow itself, is as reckless as it is unsurprising from an 81-year-old warmonger clearly exhibiting signs of severe cognitive decline.
The audacity of this addled relic unilaterally arrogating the authority to grant a foreign nation permission to bomb a nuclear adversary on its own soil lays bare the fundamentally imperial arrogance underpinning U.S. foreign policy. That such inflammatory statements can even emanate from the White House without immediate cabinet intervention is a disturbing indictment of the entire D.C. apparatus.
But of course, Biden’s rhetorical provocations occur against the backdrop of NATO’s steadily escalating military aid pipeline transforming Ukraine into a de facto forward operating base against Russia. Having effectively ceded all responsibility for honest diplomacy or de-escalation, the U.S.-led coalition now openly pursues a policy of protracted attritional warfare against the Kremlin – no matter how many Ukrainian conscripts must be sacrificed as cannon fodder.
And let’s not be coy – the true motives here extend far beyond mere territorial disputes over the Donbas. This is a naked bid to bleed and cripple Russia itself, removing a key impediment to consolidating American primacy amid intensifying geopolitical competition with China. The ruling duopolists in Washington and London have cast their lots – even if it means dragging all of humanity to the precipice of World War 3.
Biden’s Addled Escalations Inch Us Closer to Global Conflagration
Of course, for those of us retaining some grasp on historical continuity amidst this maelstrom of perpetual amnesia, as I suggest, a few salient queries demand posing.
If indeed the Kremlin harbours ambitions of global conquest and subjugation, as our esteemed “intelligence” services so breathlessly warn, then why on earth would they delay action until America had extricated itself from its Afghan quagmire? Surely any Russian strategos worth his salt would have pressed every advantage while NATO’s overstretched empire was bogged down across the Greater Middle East?
This obvious paradox rather undermines the entire premise of an innately revanchist Russia pathologically hell-bent on resurrecting the Soviet sphere. One might reasonably posit that if such messianic territorial designs existed, the opportune window was very much open during the Afghan-Iraqi imbroglios – before the full Western military machine could be diverted eastward.
Yet despite 20-plus years of strategic overextension, Moscow exhibited nary a hint of offensive adventurism beyond the defensive reactions over Ukraine’s unrelenting NATO courtship. An inconvenient fact for those peddling tales of Putinite imperium lest we forget.
Which raises another glaring contradiction conveniently buried amidst the war hysteria din: just how is it, praytell, that Russia has inched towards NATO’s borderlands without it moving an inch? A veritable paradox bordering on the geographical impossibility!
The political cartographers at 1600 Pennsylvania might need reminding that, not all that long ago, such maps depicted the now-contested territories of Ukraine, Georgia and beyond under the Kremlin’s umbrella. Whether one agrees with Moscow’s policies or not, undeniably IT was NATO assuming an ever-more antagonistic postured march eastwards – inch by inch by inch, not visa-versa as our leaders would have it.
So before we all blindly capitulate to the “Russian aggression” panic, entertaining another financially-ruinous crusade to “save democracy” over lands that were never democratic, perhaps a cursory survey of recent geostrategic realities is in order. Lest we forget, it was Western interference that upended the established regional order against the national security interests of a major power.
But why let such trivial details impede the newest iteration of militarized moral panic and lobby-driven adventurism? Much better to wallow in the intoxicating simplicity of Red Fear 2.0 – priming the public mind for decades more conflict profiteering. After all, the only “logic” that matters anymore is that of the cash registers endlessly tallying the cost of our collective societal self-immolation.
So secure are they in their arrogant delusions of unchecked planetary hegemony that Western leaders like Sunak and Starmer remain as giddily hawkish as their American overlords. Hypnotised by fanciful visions of vanquishing a “spent” Russia in a rerun of the Cold War, these ideological bodyguards of capital fail to reckon with the earth-scorching consequences should their NATO death cult miscalculate.
No, for this unelected gentry class, the spoils of lucrative new military conflicts and fresh waves of privatization outweigh any civilizational risks. Their obedience to the diktats of the international investment cartels eclipses any obligation to national sovereignties or human welfare. As always, it’s profits before peace.
So brace yourselves, good people, for the road ahead only grows darker. With the Washington-London- Brussels nexus accelerating its transparently revanchist campaign against the “Eurasian menace”, the Ukrainian killing fields appear destined to persist – even if it inevitably sparks a civilization-ending nuclear exchange. Just don’t be shocked when it’s the children of the working classes sent to be slaughtered by whichever new Dr Strangelove occupies the White House upon Biden’s departure.
At least then, the true motives of permanent war as late capitalism’s survival mechanism would stand unobscured. The “rules-based order” always was a mirage, obscuring the reality that these conflicts ultimately facilitate elite wealth extraction – whether under the pretence of democracy, anti-fascism or whatever vacant ideological pablum suits their purpose that news cycle.
In the end, we’re left with the same depraved choice – indentured servitude or mass annihilation.
