Netanyahu: We have more goals to complete and are ready to resume fighting at any time; ‘the finger is on the trigger’

Netanyahu Shows Map of 'New Middle East'

Is anyone surprised? Benjamin Netanyahu never saw this as peace. Only a pause to reload.

He’s backed the ceasefire on paper, while making it crystal clear it means nothing in practice. Israel stands ready to resume the war with Iran at a moment of his choosing, “finger on the trigger,” as he puts it.

This isn’t diplomacy. It’s theatre. A two-week intermission in a war that was never meant to end.

Donald Trump calls it victory. Netanyahu calls it unfinished business. The truth sits somewhere colder: a fragile truce built on shifting sand, with oil routes, power plays, and political survival all baked in.

So let’s strip it back.

A ceasefire that either side can walk away from at will isn’t a road to peace. It’s a loaded gun on the table, safety off.
